Manage Your Account

Signing up on Pitnit takes only a few minute and allows you to create your profile instantly. All you need is a valid email ID that will be used to verify your account on Pitnit. Alternatively, you can also sign up using your Facebook, Twitter or Google+ account.

If you are a business owner and want to create a business listing on Pitnit, you can Add Your Business here for free. In order to list your business, you first need to Sign Up on Pitnit and then add your business.

Even if you are not associated with any business or organization, there is a lot you can do on Pitnit! Using your Pitnit social profile, you can easily stay connected with your friends and followers, share updates, photos, events or links. You can explore the best local businesses in your area and get access to reliable customer reviews, business ratings, recommendations and much more!

You can reset your password by clicking the ‘forgot your password?’ link on the sign in page. You will be redirected to a page where you can reset your password by following the given instructions.

In order to complete the sign up process, you need to verify your email address. To do so, click on the confirmation link that you will receive on your email address provided during sign up.

Another way to confirm your email address is by clicking on the ‘verify’ text in general account settings of the Settings page. Once you request a new code you will be prompted to enter the token and if the token is correct, your email address will be verified.

Mouse hover on the gear icon in the top right corner of the navigation bar of any Pitnit page and then select Account Settings. Now click on the edit icon placed against the email address. You will now be shown a text box where you can enter your new email address and at the same time will be requested to enter password to save your changes.

If you have used the services of any business, we encourage you to share your experience on Pitnit. In order to write a review, you need to login to Pitnit or  sign up, if you are a new user.

You can write a review by clicking on the ‘Add a Review’ button on the business page you are viewing. You can also give ratings and add images to your review.

Protecting your privacy is of utmost importance to us. We do not share your personal information with any third parties, unless otherwise stated in our Privacy Policy.

We understand the privacy concerns of our users. On Pitnit, you have the option to control who sees your personal information or who can contact you. Privacy control and visibility settings options are available throughout the various pages on Pitnit, wherever there are features that allow you to share your personal information, when you post an update, post images, create events, groups, chat etc.

To deactivate your account on Pitnit, login to your account and click on the Main Settings icon on the top right corner of the navigation bar and click on Account Settings . Now click on the Deactivate Your Account tab and follow the given instructions.

To change your email notification preference on Pitnit, login to your account and click on the Main Settings icon on the top right corner of the navigation bar and click on Account Settings . Now access Email Notifications section to make changes

You can easily check and manage the users you have blocked by accessing the ‘Blocked Users List’ on your Account Settings page.
To unblock someone, use the options button next to a blocked user’s name.

Manage Business Listings



To search for a business you´re looking for, follow these steps: 

  1. Select the country and the state from the respective dropdown fields on Pitnit . Now enter the search keywords like business name and location in the given field.
  2. Click the "Search" button to find relevant business listings. Alternatively, you can explore the popular businesses in your area by clicking on any of the category names on Pitnit . Make sure you change the country/state before click on any category to get business results matching your preference.

To add a business to Pitnit, click on the Add a Free Listing link on the top navigation bar or use this link .

After successfully navigating to the Create Business Page you will need to fill in the business details like your business name, category, contact and location information, website URL, business description and other details to add your business listing on Pitnit.

Entering your complete information will give you the best results in terms of business visibility and online reputation.

After filling up basic information related to your business on Create Business Page you will need to add Business Address so that your business can show up in results when relevant keywords are searched for in the city where your business is located.

In the ‘Complete Address’ field, enter the full address of where your business is located. Once it has been entered, you will be prompted to enter the city. This field is important to index your business properly.

Now that the city has been selected, you will be requested to enter Zip/Pin Code and Suburb. Along with the above entries, you will be needed to drag and drop the map marker to the place where your business is located to fetch coordinates.

To access the admin panel of your business, you will first need to switch from a normal user to a business user i.e. of the business you want to manage. [How to switch has been explained below]

Another way to access the admin panel is by clicking on the edit option next to the name of the business under ‘Business Pages’ option on the Account Settings page. This works only when Pitnit is being used a normal user and not a business user.

You will now be redirected to the admin panel of your page which will consist of options like Business Info, Location & Contact, Products & Services, Offers & Coupons, Set Keywords, Working Hours, Menu/Catalogue, FAQs, Authority and Statistics.

After switching to a business user (How to switch has been mentioned below), click on the ‘Edit Business Info’ option below the cover photo on the details page of your business.

You will be redirected to the admin panel of the page which you want to manage and add multiple locations for. Now click on Location & Contact option and you will find the ‘Add New Location’ on the right top hand side of the page. Using this option you can add multiple locations for free.

If you already have multiple locations added, you can set any of the addresses as your default location by clicking on the given radio button.

In order to switch or access your business, you first need to Sign In to Pitnit. After successfully signing in, you will be redirected to the dashboard where you can mouse hover on the list icon in the header (next to the Pitnit logo) and fetch the businesses created by you.


Now click on any business and the account gets switched to the same.
You can also switch by selecting the business page from the options available under ‘Use Pitnit As’ on the RHS of the dashboard

You can post updates, reply to messages as your page, comment, create products or offers even make changes to your business page by using admin panel.

To switch back to a user account, you can follow the first step and click on your name to use Pitnit as a normal user.

Pitnit lets you assign roles to an existing friend of yours to manage your business listing. To authorise a friend to manage the page, simply access the admin panel of your business listing and then navigate to Authority .


A user managing the page can be categorized under Admin, Editor or a Moderator.
Moderator: Can post as a page, respond to reviews on the page and carry out basic like, comment, share etc kind of activities.

Editor: Along with permissions of that of a Moderator, an Editor has the access to the admin panel of the page, where he or she can edit business details, add or remove products or offers etc but does not have access to Authority Tab to assign roles.

Admin: An admin has the same permissions as you. He or She can add or assign roles, edit business details, add or remove products or offers etc along with basic permissions to post. Also, an admin can transfer the business or deactivate the same from settings.

To claim a business listed on Pitnit, you will need to Sign In or Sign Up and then go to the details page of the business you want to claim and click on the label saying ‘Is this your business? Claim it now.’ placed just above the map. After confirming a verification token will be sent to your registered Email ID on Pitnit.

You will now be prompted to enter the token.


If you are the rightful owner of this business, use the transfer code below to claim ownership of this business. We will then transfer the complete ownership rights to your registered account on Pitnit, which will enable you to have full control of your business listing on Pitnit.

To showcase your menu/catalogue on Facebook, you will need to go to the Menu Page of the business – admin panel that you manage and click on ‘Show Menu On Facebook’ tab – which will be visible only if there are any items listed.

On clicking, a pop up from FB will appear which will first verify your permission and then show the list of pages you manage. Select the page where you would like to show the menu.

If you wish to remove your business listing from Pitnit, you can do so by accessing the Account Settings page by clicking on the Settings icon on the top right of the navigation bar. Then click on Business Page link on the left column and then click on the Delete icon against the business you want to remove from Pitnit.
