Your 401k Masters Team
James C. Gebhardt, CFP® — Founder
As the founder of 401k Masters, Jim’s first priority is to establish a trustworthy relationship with those Members who seek his guidance in getting their financial house in order. His mission is to protect his clients’ assets and to manage their retirement savings with discipline. As an advisor and financial planner, he is in demand for his creativity and unbiased thinking. Jim continually fine-tunes his listening skills and withholds judgment, thereby enabling him to offer calmness in times of uncertainty and hope during periods of distress. When it comes to legacy planning, he is sought out for his ability to guide clients through a systematic process of identifying “true wealth” so clients may integrate that information and values into a comprehensive family plan. His wife, Beth, and he are proud parents of four young children, who inspire them with wonder and foster a healthy sense of humor and adventure. His associates view him as a professional. Whether on the golf course, at work or with his family, Jim keeps his feet firmly planted on the ground, his eye on the ball and his heart in the right place. His strategic leadership is valued by clients, Members, peers and business associates. In particular, families seek his counsel during times of major transitions, and a wide range of organizations value his contributions to the cultural fabric of the community through charitable giving.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Rochester, New York. He is an experienced surety bond underwriter, which makes him familiar with the unique issues associated with the construction industry. Before founding his own business, he worked for two major brokerage firms over a ten-year period, and in the process earned the Certified Financial Planner™ certification. He holds a State of California Insurance License for Life, Accident, Disability and Health Insurance. His registrations include Series 7, Series 65, and Series 31.
