I have been serving the community of Owensboro, KY as a licensed Real Estate Broker for the past 38 years. I recently became blessed to call locally owned Castlen REALTORS my professional home, but I spent the first 37 years of my career with a different top tier national franchise. I learned quite a bit throughout those years, but I realized that I needed to step out of my comfort zone and embark into the unknown to truly grow. Reluctantly, I took the risk and moved onto my new position at Castlen REALTORS. This decision allowed me to surround myself with new opportunity as this office focuses on ensuring its agents are familiar with current business processes, new technology, and colleagues that work as a team to help one other to succeed. Most importantly, my Principle Broker made the authentic promise to be an instrument in guaranteeing that the service I can provide to my clients would be better here than anywhere else. This promise was fulfilled as he opened the door to an agent education unparalleled by any other brokerage, and the assurance he would see me and my fellow agents along the way. After 38 years in Real Estate, I still find something new to learn about every day in my office. Castlen has opened the door to great financial gain and education, and I still can't imagine where I would be without this change. However, I still place great value in the support of everyone when I left a 37 year second home.
I went into real estate due to my love for the wonderful city I was born and raised in, and this passion stays strong to this day. Right out of the gate, I knew that there was zero room for mediocrity in this industry, especially since I was already married with a third child on the way. It was incredibly exciting that I could be a catalyst for the citizens of Owensboro to achieve the American Dream, and it didn't matter how many hours I worked or how many doors I would knock on from morning to night. I am humbled by my success and the many accolades I have obtained, and these achievements have come about for three main reasons:
1.) When I ask for business, I make a promise to deliver.
2.) I make sure that every home buyer I work with become educated.
3.) I know that the only way I could support my ever growing family, which would eventually end at 12, I could never go a day without considering new ways to take my business to the next level.
It seems like in the blink of an eye that I had my 10 children, 7 amazing sons and 3 beautiful daughters. Raising a family of this magnitude is no easy task, but nothing is more important to me than being a good father that is involved with all of my children's extracurricular activities and making necessary provisions for them, and instilling in them the values that I've used in business: integrity, hard work, and character. I'm thankful to say that these values have ultimately sculpted my reputation as authentic, client driven, hard working, and honest.
