If you have heard about Soondooboo but weren't quite sure what it is, Soondooboo chigae (stew) is a spicy stew made with soft tofu (soft tofu is tofu that has not been compressed to remove excess water and is more in its natural state). We offer 14 different variations of this dish but mainly it is the stew with soft tofu and a mixture of different ingredients such as meats (beef, pork, sausage, dumplings), seafood (clams, shrimp) or vegetables. A raw egg is usually added to the top of the stew to add flavoer. The next step is to determine how spice you want it. There is White (no spice), little spice, medium, spicy and very spicy. The dish is prepared in a small ceramic bowl that is boiled on a gas grill and the dish is served in the same ceramic bowl to the customer. So be careful, as the bowl is hot!
