Clotheshorse Anonymous began as classic garage start-up – a local clothing swap operated by two neighborhood moms, Jan Kennedy and Nancy Ungerman. With 6 kids between them, Jan and Nancy stole time from domestic duties to satisfy their entrepreneurial longings and love of high fashion. It was a time of energy, experimentation and fun in Fashion and Texas was into it big! When Jan and Nancy approached the fashionistas of Texas high society about profiting from their gently-worn clothing, the idea was a 'delicate' topic – hence the promise of discretion in our company name.
