For all grade-level assessments, Dr. Joye conducts differential diagnosis and offers written recommendations about school placement and accommodations as well as ways to work with your child or teen at home to maximize his or her success. For college-level assessments, Dr. Joye includes in her reports recommendations for the school about accommodations that will maximize the student's success.
Assessment Procedure: Dr. Joye is located on Abercorn Street just down from the corner of Abercorn and DeRenne in Savannah, Georgia. While your child is being tested, you are welcome to sit and enjoy free wireless internet. Depending on the needs of your family and the extent of testing, testing can be divided into multiple sessions.
Dr. Joye also offers therapy for children and families for issues including (but not limited to): * disruptive behavior disorders * academic problems * ADHD * Autism Spectrum Disorder * anxiety, fears, and phobias * noncompliance * tantrums * parent training.
For adults, Dr. Joye offers treatment for: * depression * anxiety * adjustment problems * issues related to self-esteem.
Dr. Joye uses evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy, which is problem focused and goal directed. Most problems can be effectively addressed in a short period of time (6 to 12 sessions). Treatment type and duration time will be individualized to meet the needs each client.
