New Jersey City University provides students the best of many worlds: small classes led by world-class faculty mentors, a broad array of high-quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and the lowest tuition offered by a four-year public university in the state of New Jersey—all on a thriving campus in bustling, cosmopolitan Jersey City.
The LGBTQA Leadership Conference brings together hundreds of students, educators, and community leaders from across the tri-state area to discuss visibility, and the lack thereof, within the LGBTQA community. The theme of the conference this year is "The Future of Our Movement: Beyond Marriage Equality" and centers on the LGBTQ+ movement beyond the scope of marriage. Workshops and speakers will shed light on issues that are often forgotten, such as intimate partner violence and classism, as well as segments of the LGBTQ community that are almost completely unseen, such as LGBTQ communities of color, intersex and transgender communities, and homeless youth. Through this theme, the conference will inspire and shape student leaders to foster a fully inclusive movement that advocates for the entire LGBTQ+ community.
