After stumbling accidentally into a bakery as a youth in Evreux, a small city just 60 miles north of Paris, Le Pain du Jour founder Franck Herve Commereuc discovered his love for the art of baking bread. Franck went on to train at some of the most prestigious boulangeries throughout France before making the bold decision to bring his authentic craft to California in the early 1990s. To this day, the Le Pain du Jour philosophy remains the same: bake bread the traditional way!
