After seventeen years of a rewarding career in teaching, Lori Lombardo has ventured into a new phase in life, one involving the thrilling world of real estate. She joins the professionals at Better Homes and Gardens The Masiello Group, who enhance the real estate business through service, innovation and values. Who wouldn’t want to join such a forward thinking company?
Lori was raised in the small town of North Easton, Massachusetts, known for being the birthplace of the 35th governor, Oliver Ames, and the home of the renowned Stonehill College. She graduated from Oliver Ames High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in the late 70’s.
She moved to North Carolina and enjoyed the charming southern life one can experience in Raleigh, one of the fastest growing cities in the country. She moved on to the coastal lifestyle of Georgetown, South Carolina, where white beaches and warm ocean waters can captivate even a died-in-the-wool, northern Yankee.
When Lori returned to Massachusetts in the mid-eighties, she worked as an advertising sales representative for the fifth largest daily newspaper in New England, The New Bedford Standard- Times. There she met and married her current husband, Robert. They began their adventure together by buying an old mansion on Lake Sokokis in Limerick, Maine, and turning it into a family restaurant known as Woody’s Tavern on the Water.
Lori’s only daughter, Venice, was born during the ownership of this exciting enterprise. Venice is now a graduate of Maranacook High School and the Honors College of the University of Maine at Orono. She spent two years with the Peace Corps in China teaching college students English. She received her Masters of Library Science at the University of Dublin in Ireland and currently works at the Feather River College library in Quincy, California.
After selling their business, the Lombardos moved to Cranston, Rhode Island, where Lori attended Rhode Island College. She received a Masters in Teaching and began teaching grade 6 at Daisy Bronson Middle School in Littleton, New Hampshire. One year later, she taught grade 6 for three years at Wayne Elementary School in Maine. When the new middle school was built in 2001, she became a teacher for grades 6, 7, and 8 at Maranacook Community Middle School, until June of 2014.
We have now arrived at the present. Lori is delighted to become part of the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate The Masiello Group family. She rightfully quotes, “When you choose to work with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate The Masiello Group you have selected two of the most highly respected real estate organizations in the country.”
