Oakland Auto Body has been the East Bay’s first choice for collision repair for more than 50 years.
The Vincenzi family began in the auto business in San Francisco in 1957. As it is in so many family businesses, the kids get involved early. Ron Vincenzi, Oakland Auto Body's president, joined the business at the age of 16, in 1967, as a part time janitor after school. He learned about every facet of the business and expanded his knowledge by working his way through the body repair department, refinish department and then on to estimating. In 1974, he became a part owner and in 1989 he became the sole owner. Oakland Auto Body has been at this location since 1977.
Oakland Auto Body was a pioneer in developing better relationships between shops, customers, and insurance companies as an early participant in the Direct Repair Program with most major insurance companies.
In 2006, Oakland Auto Body opened a second production location, less than a mile away, where the crew specializes in smaller repairs and therefore a quicker turn around time – Fastrak Shop.
Oakland Auto Body has been very dedicated to doing all we can to conserve our environment. It was an early user of waterborne paint (early 2008), while it would not be mandated by the State of California until October 2009.
