My family took over the business on January 1st of 2009 with the goals of providing excellent customer service and delivering tasteful, ethnic food to our customers. Roline’s specializes in Filipino home cooked dishes that would appeal to a diverse community.
Filipino food is known for lumpia, adobo, and pancit, but one may be surprised that we offer different menu items daily. Up until now, we have more than fifty dishes in the menu although we serve about ten dished each day. We suggest that customers try our Beef and Onion, known as Beef Steak, Barbecue Pork with minced tomatoes and onions, a delicate squash and long bean dish cooked in coconut milk, and grilled eggplant. In addition, we have a special dessert called Halo Halo, which is a combination of preserved fruits such as coconut, palm fruit and sweet beans as well as shaved ice, milk, leche flan, and ube ice cream. Many comment that our Halo Halo is “euphoric!”
Roline’s is proud of our Filipino heritage and culture, and we hope to share our love with our community. Having a small business provides comfort to us that our culture will be kept alive especially though our children. My whole family works together to make things happen. My husband, Tony, assists me with stocking, cleaning, and delivering, our daughter, Margarita, helps me with the register and graphic designing and our ten-year old son, Andre, helps me cook.
The support of our community is very much appreciated and welcomed in our own little way. Our place is like an extended family as some customers come in and eat here everyday and we delight in the happiness of our customers like a new born baby, marriage and job promotions, and likewise, we grieve for the loss of family members.
I believe that is the beauty of having a small business; the relationship with customers is intimate. Our success depends on the support of the community and we sincerely thank all the people who have been with us from the beginning of Day One. Our promise to our customers is to continue providing excellent customer service, create delicious home cooked meals and support local charities.
