My wedding was in Laguna Beach on September 2010. When planning my wedding, I knew that I really wanted to pull off a very shabby chic, french country, english tea party look, even though it was on the beach. We didn't have a huge budget for the wedding, so I had no idea how I was going to pull it off!
I read an article in a bridal magazine by a designer who I really admire, she suggested in order to make an impact with style for a wedding on a budget, you should concentrate the details on the tables, rather than the surroundings. It made sense! People remember the tables far more than anything else around the room.
I had seen pictures of small garden parties with vintage mismatched china, and I was in love. However, with most of the beautiful china I found being $$$$, it seemed like only a pipe dream.
Fortunately, I already had a head start in that I had my mother's, grandmother's and great grandmother's gorgeous china sets. I headed to Etsy to find some affordable fill ins. I found some really great stuff, but the cost was adding up quick!
I ended up getting a lot of help from generous people in my life when I put the plates I wanted on a wishlist! For every event in my life involving gifts, vintage china was all I asked for.
It took me about 2 years to form my collection, but it was SO worth it! I couldn't have been more thrilled with the way my wedding turned out, and the plates were the biggest hit of the party!
After my wedding was featured on StyleMePretty.com, I began getting a lot of inquiries from brides on where I got my china and if I would be willing to sell or rent them out. I decided to rent them because the collection is just far too beautiful to break apart!
I even offer delivery, styling, and set up in LA, OC and surrounding areas!
