Gertie S.Business Owner Who is Gertie, you ask? She is our accidental mascot, our inspiration for the fun and kitsch, and a reminder that if you dream it and work it, good things will come. She has come to represent The Gypsy Wagon with her quirky eyes and crooked smile. Her image graces her presence on every package that leaves The Gypsy Wagon. Our hope is when you receive a gift and Gertie is on it, that you anticipate something really good is inside.How we found Gertie Like all good tchotchkes and treasures, I found Gertie at a flea market, among a stack of dusty landscapes and bad still lifes. It was one of those finds that makes your heart race while your eyes scan for the price tag, and hope with all your might that the seller has it priced to sell, not to keep. I have no idea who painted this painting. Who knows how old it is! As a work of art, it's not worth more than the canvas and frame, but she makes me smile every time I see her. I wouldn't sell her for all the money in the world.
