The Sweet and Savory Classroom is a culinary experience. Whether you want to learn to cook or just have fun, our kitchen is designed to be educational and entertaining. It’s great for groups, team building, date night, kids, anyone experienced or not. All types of cooking classes will be taught such as Cakes, Chocolates, Biscuits, Scones, Breads to Thai, Italian, Pizza, and Sushi.
Chef’s Jeff and Heather Pennypacker have relocated from the Mountains of Western North Carolina to Open the Sweet and Savory Classroom in Chattanooga’s South Side area. With extensive culinary backgrounds and a passion for teaching these two Chefs bring a unique combination of knowledge to share. Heather, professionally trained at the top IUP culinary academy, has used her talents as a renowned pastry chef at the Grove Park Inn and Biltmore Estate. She has also combined her talents with teaching at the University of Tennessee Culinary Program in Knoxville.
Jeff professionally trained at Johnson and Wales University. He has also been a chef at the Biltmore Estate, taught at AB-Tech Culinary Program, and started one of the top Ice sculpting companies in the country, Masterpiece Ice Sculptures. Jeff has trained extensively with the John Maxwell Leadership Team and brings leadership development to the kitchen.
Together this Sweet and Savory Couple can teach just about anything.
