The CTC/AR center is located in Hillcrest next to the UCSD Medical Center. The CTC/ARC is a state-of-the-art facility designed for clinical research in asthma and COPD. The Center is built around the experience and the knowledge. This group incorporates years of theoretical and practical know-how and successful participation in single and multiple site clinical studies spanning the spectrum from phase 1 through phase 4 trials. The CTC/ARC staff has more than 30 years of experience conducting collaborative and investigator-initiated clinical research. The CTC/ARC is part of two networks focusing on clinical trials involving airways disease; the ALA funded Asthma Clinical Research Centers and the NIH funded COPDGene (1-U01-HL0898971R34HL109482-01A1) as well as single site studies NHLBI funded Smoking in Asthmatics Pilot Study (1R34HL109482-01A1).
