Costly damage to vehicles occur in traffic accidents every day. Collision repair technicians straighten bent bodies, remove dents, and replace crumpled parts that are beyond repair. Collision repair work has variety and each damaged vehicle presents a different challenge. Repairers must develop appropriate methods for each job, using their broad knowledge of automotive construction and repair techniques. Collegiate training is highly desirable because the advances in technology have significantly changed the structure, components and materials used in automobiles. Formal training in collision repair can enhance opportunities for employment and promotion.
High school students can complete the program attending part-time during their junior and senior years.
Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to complete their associate’s degree at Washburn University.

* Collision Repair OJT
