Founded in June 2008. WIN northwest is a group of professional women gathering together in a casual setting to share resources, expand their network, learn and support one another. The WIN network group also helps in stimulating our local economy sending out job postings for those seeking employment.
WIN Gone Wild was introduced in 2010, where men are welcome to attend twice a year. January 2011, WIN teamed up with the Clark County Events Center to create an annual one-of-a-kind Networking Extravaganza inviting other area networking groups to participate. The January event (also co-ed) was a success with well over 600 in attendance.
We gather on the second Wednesday of each month from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Currently there are no membership dues or meeting fees. Meeting locations vary throughout SW WA & the Portland Metro area at either a venue, such as a local restaurant &/or lounge. Each member is responsible for purchasing their own appetizers, favorite adult beverage, or non-alcoholic beverage.
More often, we meet at a business location that wishes to host the gathering for the sole purpose of exposure of a new location or branding their existing business. In this case, the hosting business provides food & refreshments such as wine, beer & non-alcohol options unless other arrangements are agreed upon. Hosts also get a 5 minute spot. Men are welcome to attend ONLY if they are part of the company staff of the hosting business(s).
Special Guest & Member Spotlight Speakers, sometimes being of the opposite gender are welcome upon request and approval, regarding the purpose is to bring value to each WIN Member. Spotlight speaker gets a 10 minute spot at 5:30 PM.
Average attendance is 200+ professional business women. Email notification goes out at the end of the month prior to next event, and then a reminder on the Monday before.
