My husband and I absolutely love dogs. We have been caring for dogs for over 15 years and can't imagine what our home would be like without them. We welcome all breeds, so long as they're nonaggressive and can hang out with our resident pups, Marty and Shelby. Marty pretty much lays around all day, but Shelby is just dying for someone to play with. To keep the playing field even, we are only accepting dogs 20lbs and under. If you happen to have a smaller dog that's a tad husky and over 20lbs, feel free to reach out, but please be honest regarding size. I watch smaller dogs and some of them have fears of bigger dogs, so regardless of how submissive your fur baby is, it just won't be in the cards for us to watch yours if he/she is more than 25lbs. I just want to be upfront and honest so neither of us wastes time.
We know that dogs aren't just pets, they're family. Our dogs have an all-access pass to the entire house and more toys than a dog could ever even hope to play with. We have a huge fenced in backyard with a doggy door so your little one can come and go as he/she pleases. When we aren't playing fetch, they usually find a spot on my lap and get scratches :) I will treat your dog as I treat my own. There are no cages in our house. When your dog stays with us, they'll just become part of the family and be treated as so. They can also sleep wherever they want, which almost always means in our bedroom, under the covers or by the bedside in any of our dog beds. However, we can always accommodate any special rules you have. For example, if you have trained your dog to sleep in a crate for potty reasons, we are happy to accommodate.
We do have a pool, but that area is blocked off by a fence that's been installed. However, if you're little one likes the pool, I'm more than happy to go for a swim with them. You'll notice a second smaller fence by the front. This is where we do meet and greets, as well as drop off/pick ups, so all the dogs don't rush the front door.
At this time we can only take dogs that are fully potty trained. No pee pads.
Our home and backyard are professionally treated every quarter with an organic spray to make sure no fleas and/or bugs start breeding. Our dogs also receive flea treatment on a 6 week basis. Additionally, we spray with tea tree oil a lot to fend off fleas and keep the fur coat smooth.
As far as rates go: Think of it like a doggy hotel. If you drop off your dog early in the morning and pick up in the late evening the following night....I charge a daily fee for each day (2 days). If you drop your dog off in the afternoon and pick up the following afternoon, then you will only be charged for just the one-night boarding. Hope that makes sense.
We will accept puppies under a year of age ONLY if they are fully potty trained, neutered/spayed and most importantly, past the chewing up everything stage. If they are still teething, we will have to pass. Please note that puppies are an additional $5/night.
You can expect pictures and videos until you tell me to stop. :) We can't wait to meet you and your fur-babies!
